Anyone know about the "Hole Hog"??

I just bought a year's worth of 1988's Lost Treasure mags from ebay, and there is an ad for a "Hole Hog". It is a plug digger, and I actually saw it in use on one of the THA episodes. I have been looking for a supplier. A web search just turned up the industrial diggers. Anyone have experience with this? Or know where I can get one?
I don't have any recent LT mags, as they aren't sold here on the island(hence the ebay purchase). Any help would be useful.

Thanks!

I use to have one.

It is fine if you use it in extremely wet ground, otherwise,
you'll have a heart attack pushing that rascal into the ground.

and......you have to flip it over to push out the plug.
I scratched a 1892 barber quarter using the one I had.

I quit using it after that incident.
It's been sold since..........see ya mark

Here is a link to make one if you can go that route. I have a original hole hog. Mine came from Indiana
The label on mine says Professional Recovery Tools Brownstown In. 416 kelly dive 47220. Unfortunately no address now.

I use mine for well kept yards I get into. Because there is no mess when you use a towel to set the plug on. find the item, and repack the plug. Leaves almost no trace you have been there. Get good with it and you can speed up recovery time.

On the downside it one awkward mother to carry around. And if you dont have a machine that can pinpoint well you can mess something up good. And as Mark said the ground needs to be wet.
