Anyone know anything about Japanese art and/or markings?

My mother has two Japanese paintings she picked up at an antique store. Some kind of special painting technique is used where they touch the brush to the canvas and let the paint run instead of stroking the brush. I will post pictures of the paintings themselves in a bit but was wondering more about the markings. I love these paintings and want to get more by the person that painted these. I assume the top markings are a title and the red is a signature because the red is the same on both pictures. If anyone that can read these, or tell me where I can get more of this artists work, I would appreciate it greatly. I know it's not really an md find and I'll move it or delete after a while. I just wanted the today's finds traffic.
