1st maybe formerly established.

Re: Anyone read french?

Dear RELICDUDE07;
It's been a while since I've visited France, so my French may be a bit rusty, but this is is what the words mean:
Ancien Etablissement=Ancient Establishment (meaning "Old village" Old site" Old ruins" etc)
Rocher decouvert le 25 Juin 1722=Discovered rock (or boulder) of June 25th, 1722(meaning "Unusual shaped or colored rock or boulder outcropping, etc)

As an aside, there seems to be something odd about your map, although I can not quite my finger on what is wrong at the moment.
Your friend;

Thanks for the help guys, i kinda thought it was ancient ruins,just wasnt sure what the other was.And im glad i know now!What looks odd about the map,maybe some even better news :icon_sunny:

Re: Anyone read french?

seems theres a old settlement there --and a "bare rock " ( which was most likely used as a referance point) was discovered on the 25 of june 1722 . --- hope that helps -- Ivan
