I found this great website that provides aerial photos from 3 time frames,1939,1957 and 1967 give or take a year. I have found this to be a tremendous source of information about the history of my area of Pa. I've found answers to many things that I always wondered in what time frame they happened in etc. One of the things that blew me away was just how much land was cleared for farming in my area that is now forested again.They say when the ancient Romans were bored they built something well around here the went out and cleared some more land in the first half of the last century :-) I think this site could be a big aid at times for metal detecting.
