I've seen these on an Australian YouTube video for use at the beach. Anyone use them before? Main reason I'm asking is that I can get them for about $15 at work, but I have to but 6 at a time. I work for an animal health distributor, and we have them as a close out. Drill some holes and you're on your way...I guess.

I would be interested in two.
Most likely you will have to make a template to saw around to create a more pointed nose.
Then drill holes for drainage.
I would use 5/5 to 1/2 inch diameter holes for the front with a small 1/4 inch hole in the rear
catch smaller items such as ear ring studs.
Be careful not to drill the holes too close together or it will weaken your shovel.
Also each row should be offset so that the holes make a diagonal (triangular) pattern rather
than vertical or horizonatl

i looked into one i found them for 32. ea so 15 is a great price

I've been looking for one are you in the Miami area?

Sorry...North Carolina.

I bought a hard plastic snow shovel with an extending metal handle for $12. Drilled some holes in it and it works like a dream and fits in my bag when collapsed.
