Just getting into metal detecting, had the detector since last christmas and i've really got the itch to go since reading about all you lucky bastards out there. I was wondering if there is anyone here who detects in my neck of the woods and if they have had found anything worthwhile.

Stockton is an old, historic town and I imagine there is much treasure to be found there, especially with a little research beforehand. There are many baseball fields there, you might want to give some of them a visit, too. Hope you'll post pictures of all the stuff you find and good luck.
