APUSH: Don't even have an account
Took off early today to go to the dentist. That was way fun.
I had a bit of time on my hands before my appointment. Had a few boxes of dimes/nickels I needed to dump so I head to one of my banks. Got thru and decided I would go next door (literally a few feet away) and see if a bank--which I do not have an account--has any halves. The nice teller says yes, but they are on the coin machine. I said sure, if it is not too much trouble. Well, there was only $46.00 worth of halves, I buy them and only end up with 2-40%. I am not going to complain one bit about that dump.
I asked her about buying the dime bag. She said yes, but could I wait thru the weekend and come back Monday. She said it was about full ($1000.00) and she really likes to ship off dimes, nickels, and cents when they are full. Halves on the machine--I could come in anytime. I don't ask why, but just say thank you. I also picked up 7 clad Ike's--teller's offer. Already gave one as a tip today--young girl was a tad confused, but smiled.
So, on Monday I will go pick up my first bag of dimes. I need 15 more Rosies before I complete my first roll of silver dimes. Perhaps this bag will move me closer to that goal.
PS: Somedays we just get nice tellers who are just plain nice folks.
