Well, I just bought my first sandscoop on line (paid a whopping $89.00 at Kellyco) to hit the beaches in Galveston in two weeks. Taking my trusty metal detector along while I CRH. Not an expensive scoop (D_D would understand), but one nonetheless. It is my 2nd hobby next to CRH.

Will order a few boxes in advance at my bank in Galveston to see if I can get a tad more silver on this trip. Last two times, the pickins were near to nada so perhaps I will bring a few silvers home this go around to pay for my new scoop.

Mr. Apush and are venturing out that week to begin the trek of looking for retirement homes. :laughing7:

I do bring Mr. Apush along to carry the Modelos(with lime) in the cooler when I need a break. I think I will rent a golf cart to haul the ol' guy around this time.

PS: My most prized possession: My granddaughter with me at the zoo. Getting old, but getting there!

HSH,
So happy I can take a few days off from the principalship,
apush :read2:

Tell me it is the 2-n-1 Beachmaster sand scoop. If so, see if Kellyco will match the lowest price of a competitor. I was googling last week for another forum member on the same scoop. In a few minutes, I found it for $59.

Either way, good luck with your boxes and cruising the strand.

I would not recommend metal detecting down on the state park side. The rangers will kick you out, as I discovered yesterday...

There's not much in Galveston left; most of it got washed out to sea on the ocean side by Ike.

Apush , Greetings friend ! nice to see you on the other side of the treasure hunting street !
Don't forget that the beaches yield a relatively higher percentage of gold rings - than do the
parks and athletic fields - so build some gold into your belief /expectations. Just dig those
pulltabby /nickel signals - (and every thing else since you have a scoop !) cheers ! and
good luck !!!! Argentium.

I wish you all the luck Apush, I was wondering if Mr. Apush is still opening a few boxes and winning ;D..Cute granddaughter.
