Arab axe

Anyone got any ideas about this? also anyone know what it says on it? i took a guess that it is arabic but might be wrong.

Cant tell you for sure but my guess is,its a battle axe.Nice find no matter what it is.

Is it sharp? Where did you find/get it?

got it from a carboot sale, the spikes are sharp and the edges look like they used to be sharp, looks like they have been blunted over time rather than made with dull edge like repro stuff

think its too big and heavy for a throwing axe, the ruler next to it is 20 inches long.
wouldnt like to meet someone who could throw that....
