how much does it weigh ? very interesting piece

Thats really cool

Interesting, but sadly its silver plate on brass, not silver. The '925' only refers to the quality of the plating and there would once have been a label on the back explaining this. They're made in Italy as tourist items (vintage to modern) and usually have the signature 'Impero' in script on them somewhere.

Some of them were framed and also sold within a framed mirror surround such that you had a frame within a frame.

Not terribly valuable I'm afraid. There's a smaller one on eBay at the moment within its original mirror surround with a 'buy-it-now' of £25. Larger ones might conceivably fetch anything up to £100 but you'll often see sellers expecting a lot more... largely in a mistaken belief they're solid sterling silver (or because the seller is cynically allowing bidders to believe they are).
