This afternoons finds, were average metal wise. A couple of copper coins, buttons, and musket balls. This lovely little flint neolithic arrow head, made up for it though. How the fine point as survived, all these years I don't know. This site does produce Neolithic flint scrapers, two more this afternoon, shown in the picture. This though is the first arrow head. Robert.

Great finds. There is so much old history around you I wish I lived in England. I would hunt a few castles try to get a room in one, and tour the gorgeous landscape . Sorry getting carried away . Really nice finds though that arrow head is really cool. Thanks for the post Tommy

Hello Tommy, yes it's great being a detectorist over here. The time span of finds is amazing, one minute finding modern, then the next signal wow.

What a beautiful point Robert, love the colour and shape. Good eye on picking it up and the other two scrapers.

Probably dates back to Stonehenge, amazing find.

Amazing find. It's crazy to think that was likely in the ground though the iron and bronze ages, famines, plagues, etc. phew!

Great snag Rob

What would I do if I dug one of those.
Nice save. Congratulations.

That is a good find.

What is that flat axe looking piece at the top of the group picture?

Love finding arrowheads congrats

Hello pepperj, this site turns up loads of scrappers, first arrow head, after many years.

True all those years in the ground, and as good as the day it was made,

Super nice ancient finds ! That point was made in a very fine style. It still looks like it could cause some damage. A sharp, "sharp" stone tool. I would imagine that would be a scarcer find in the United Kingdom. Thanks for sharing !

Hello wagbert, the point is so fragile looking. Think it was a one use arrow head, it would surely have broken after hitting the target. Wonder what the target prey was. Robert.

HI Rob , How did stone age weapons in the UK respond to Mega Fauna ? TP

Awesome job on the arrow and other finds

Hello tinpan, think most of the uk was covered in forest at that time. I don't think a fragile point like this one, would have survived hitting a tree. Robert.
