Arrowheads and other stuff

I pulled out these arrowheads and stone pieces my grandfather found about 30 years ago when they were having a barn built on the farm. The longest one is about 10.5 inches. My daughter wanted to take them to school for a class project but I want to check if they would be considered too valuable to put in the hands of a 10 year old. Thanks

I have a 10 yr old, I would say no to him. Can you or someone older be in charge of them taking them to school ? Just my opinion

I was thinking they may be too nice but I look on eBay and see arrowheads going for $15-$25 so just want to be sure.

Most kids give stuff away if someone ask them too. I sent my volcanic ash from Mt. St. Helens with my nephew and it never came back. His teacher gave him $10 for both baby jars. He didn't even ask me......

the two longest ones look a lot like "gray ghost" to me...you need to give us better pix of those two.

What little I know about them is some can be worth thousands. Many in the 500 range. There is a forum here for them I think. Post there or ask Mod. to move this. Those look very nice and I'd try and get a price idea on them before you let the kid take them to school. Chipping an edge can really hurt their value.

Here is a link to the Grey Ghosts. They were massed produced by a man named Brain Reinhardt back in the 40's. Those two large pieces fall into that category. If not Reinhardt's they are still repros and worth about $10 an inch as a norm. Not sure about the other pieces though. Need better pics of all of them. As for letting your child take them to school, absolutely not unless an adult goes with them.
