Artical on Old Coca-Cola Bottle

I read this this morning about a very old sealed coke bottle. It's seems the value is uncertain. Also I wonder how it was it remained sealed for so long. I would think just the humidity in the air would've rusted the cap in all that time.

Sometimes things just survive. Did you see the post on the Bud can someone dug outta the bottom if a river recently? Amazing shape it's in.

No I hadn't seen that story. I'm not sure where that old Coke bottle had been the last 100 years.

Not sure if anyone is interested is fun past finds…
I found a first edition, flat top Budweiser beer can; circa 1936.
I was metal detecting a shallow creek in Wisconsin with my AT Pro and found this about 12” under water, sand and gravel.
Identified it through the internet. Kind of comical they had to print instructions on it to open it.
I was surprised at its good condition, being steel and under water for potentially a long time!

That's amazing. I remember when the grown ups would be sitting around a barbecue and grabbing the can opener to open a can of beer like that.
