Can you ID the material? It looks like agate. It looks plenty hard and sharp enough to have been
used as a scraper but that jagged piece hanging off the back would have to go. This could be a
pre-form or the first piece chipped of the mother stone to reveal more uniform flakes.
Can you poke around in the same place and see if you can find the mother stone? Sifting might
reveal some more chips.

Ive got pretty good at differinciating most artifacts from regular rocks. I figure this flint rock was a fluke broken piece of some sorts. Just kinda neat looking never seen on with a thin end like thisthat was intact. Just happened to have a bird look to it.
 

Yes it's basic flint with calcite build up.
