Target to deep for the Machine to get a VDI normally a good target dig all those!
Also Iron Audio will shift the mid tone to where you have discrimination set. I believe this is in the manual :)

I know that when there deep, it doesn't show up on the vdi. I've never noticed if it was just the mid-tones tho. Agree with austin, dig those.

captbo my A/T pro starts getting scratchy signals shortly after hitting half battery . so after scratching my >?< i changed the batteries and went back over my same spots and got solid tones . other then very old cans iam able to discern most targets.

thanks All this site is so full of great info ! it helps alot !

That happened to me Saturday. Dang I wish I would have known that. I am still getting used to mine. I only have roughly 16 hours on it. Learning curve is not too bad though. I wonder how many belt buckles I went over..... Dhooo.... Slaps forehead.

Now not every signal no VDI is going to be a rock star, sometimes it's just deep iron :) but ya never know till you dig it and digging is free!

Sometimes the outside temp will effect things, mainly the battery out put, this can happen on both the hot end and the cold end. Good luck!!
