Got out a couple times since switching to the Tornado. So far i'm very happy!!
the NEL goes deep and really sings on lead and coins.
Today I was digging bullets at 10" with No problem. dug a couple .22 bullets at 6" to 7" and a precussion cap around the same depth.

Hard to beat the Nel coils for depth. I use the Storm and Nel big

Glad you like the new coil Cletus. Looks like it's paying off. Congrats

I would also like to try the NEL Hunter and Storm!!
as well as a couple others. I think I have a problem!!

Try the Thunder. It's 14.5 inches and only 2 ounces heavier than the stock 11 inch coil. I've been using its clone the Cors Cannon on my 400 for about a month now and have gotten deeper coins, including a wheat penny at 9 inches. I have picked up items like .22 bullets and the top of a pocket watch stem, no problem. I yanked out a nice 1857 seated dime Saturday with it and people in my club were howling! I want to get a 5 x 8 next. The coils are exactly the same between NEL and CORS, come from the same factory, just have different labels slapped on. It's some sort of distribution scheme. Happy Hunting! :)

We all like to play with toys :tongue3:

congrats on the finds. glad the coil is working well for you, have heard many good reviews with it and the AT Pro. I thought about getting one myself.

the NEL and the ATP makes a strong combo.
I did not dig today but I did do some testing in my test garden.
the NEL was hitting on all of the deep targets including a 10" dime.

did u try to hit that 10' dime wit the the 8.5X11 coil?
