Congrats on the return

Sure. So I recently found my neighbors wedding ring. ( see gold wedding ring post). I also accomplished posting a pic of it using tapa app. So proud of myself since I truly am electronically challenged. Anyway it got me thinking about previous returns. One of which was the wife of the for mentioned neighbor.

I was door knocking on a rainy day to ask the owner of the biggest farm on my road. We have crossed paths but he really didn’t know me well. After I got the ok, the wife told me about her gold earring that she lost while gardening 5 years prior. There was a brief spat between the two of them about where she said she lost it and about him not believing it could be found. She said that her son in law tried to find it with his machine. I told them that I had my machine with me if she wanted me to try. So I went to the back of the house and searched the garden. She was certain that she lost it that day and in that area. I decided to step out of the garden and bingo.... I heard the sound of gold like never before. It was down about 3 inches and woahhh it was heavy. I was soak and wet but I couldn’t wait to see the look on her face. She was so happy. Before I could get packed up and in the car she called me back over to tell me that she called her friend who told her that I could detect her property anytime. Two permissions in one day!
AND Both properties are open for me to hunt anytime.

I was in the medical field... so I’m not stupid. So frustrating to know that children can do this blind folded.

Another great recovery by a fine dectorist.

Again thanks for the compliment however I still feel “Fine” is a bit strong of a word. Lol. I just love a challenge so this hobby happens to fit me perfectly. Lol.

Thanks for the back story...
and it's a great one.

sorry, didn't mean to imply that you were stupid. I used to be in electronics field and machine shop work as well as programming CNC machines for custom machining. however, extreme brain trauma has made me very challenged in many ways. loved the additional info, gotta love it when it works off that way

Oh no... I didn’t mean implied anything. Lol. I was simply stating that it should t be this hard for me. However, now that you mentioned it, I also suffer from brain trauma so maybe that’s why I’m having trouble.

I don’t feel so bad now. Lol.

I need a 12 year old for most electronic projects, but not all of them. I just successfully put a new 750 watt power supply in my computer and set up and programmed a new night/day camera system, to augment my existing monitored home alarm system. I SEE you! Gonna start by looking for night critters with it. It records any movement automatically. Has a 1 terrabite hardrive on it.

Wow.... when I do my campervan build, I’ll be sure to do it at your house. Lol.
