Nice work...keep at it, and your finds will only get better and better. I too use the BH Tracker IV and have found it does an ok job for me.

Last summer I found enough clad at parks and the beach to buy a used water machine. So don't give up, and you'll find this hobby and the time spent with your significant other will add up to many priceless memories if not priceless finds. ;D

Congrats! Bring us the pics  jgas

Absolutely amazing!!!!!

It looks to be between 80-100 years old judging from the pic.

Keep it cool, dry and out of direct sunlight!!!!

Take high quality pics of it as soon as possible, just in case it quickly starts to deteriorate.

Wow!

That could be worth hundreds to the right person.

Write down every detail of the location and circumstances involved in finding it.

Put the locket and "Letter" in a nice frame to keep or sell off.

This is a banner find, IMHO.

It's amazing that the picture survived and still has detail.

Well seeing as you sounded a little downhearted on the last post, you seem much happier now. Maybe detecting is for you after all ;D Stick with it & there will be better to come :headbang:

That locket is fantastic, and a great find for a beginner!!!
Keep it up, you seem to be doing a pretty good job so far!!
And fwiw, I wouldnt say that lady is ugly.... Dated, yes, but how can you say ugly? Cant really make out details..

looks like a kid to me --or a very young woman

That locket is outstanding and quite old. It might be worth a few bucks to a collector of old pictures and the like. Congratulations and glad you decided to keep going with this hobby. Your finds today would make a veteran dirt fisher do the happy dance!
