Yes, unfortunately its a repro/decorator piece.

There is a fellow in S. W. Oregon that has a power hammer, and he hand forges lots and lots of hawks, built just like the antique ones, forge welded and all. He makes a large part of his living making and selling hawks to fur trade rein-actors. He marks his on the blade, so your hawk isn't one of his. However, there are others that make them also, just not on the scale he does. I also think that some are imported from India.
