Avatar: the last Air bender

So I am 37yrs old and I love this cartoon. I don't watch any other anime, but this show is/was great. The series ended in grand fashion, but I still felt they rushed it a bit and should have followed up more on other story lines.

I hear they may be coming out with 3 one hour movies to clear up some loose ends. Anyone else heard this rumor?
