I was checking out a new spot and didn't get to hunt long. But was real happy with the discovery's I found.Believe it's going to be a pretty good spot.Started finding some coins first, nothing real old. Then up popped this button,i stuck it in my bag trying to hurry up and get all the hunt in I could. So I got home later and halfway cleaned the button and it's a union infrantry button, back mark reads young smith & co. New York. The reed has a b with some symbols on it,maybe b flat.Don't know nothing about that stuff. Thanks for looking. Sorry for the bad pics.

young smith & co was around from 1830-1858!! Here is a helpful website for identifying button back marks! Nice hunt!
