I'm staying in the adirondacks and have been detecting the past few days, at first I wasn't finding much interesting but then I found my oldest coin yet a 1907 Indian Head penny! I also found about seven other 1960s and 70s coins, and a half of an old toy gun.The next day I found a 1912 wheat back penny, a coin spill from the seventies and sixties, and a really awesome lighter!

Nice finds! That Indian has an interesting color- typically the copper/nickels issues from 1859 to 1864 have that red color. Wet area? Something else in the hole? Just curious...

I cleaned it with vinegar, I known that's bad but I'm not going to sell it and you couldn't make out what it was, it's my first old coin so I wanted it like a trophy.

Nice! Keep at it and there is more where that came from!

Congratulations on the Indian Head Cent and other goodies!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Congrats on your oldest coin, and the rest of your finds.
