While researching a school house in a town history book from the 1800's, I came across an incredible resource. While going through the book I found a map with all the school house numbers and houses with their owners. That wasn't a big deal though, I have a few maps with that information. Anyways, going through the pages I saw a chapter titled, "Cellars Found In The Town". The whole chapter, three pages long, is filled with the locations of early cellar holes, from the 1700's. It gives a current place listed on the map in the book, and gives a location a certain number of rods away. I can't wait to check this out tomorrow!

Go for it. Watch out for snakes before jumping into cellar holes.

Sounds awesome!
