Axe head?

This was found near a iron age hill fort in South East England, I have no Idea what it really is but was hoping it maybe an axe head... I'm sure it's probably nothing interesting but wanted your opinions on it.

It looks like ancient bronze (ie bronze age/iron age/Roman), but I think its just a piece of metal working. You may start to find more bits in the area.
