[B]semi modern ink well ?[/B]

i found this yesterday near an old cellar hole along the connecticut river only that it doesnt seem to be that old. im almost positive its an ink well i just cant date it anyone know? the only mark is a 4oz on the side and a single B on the bottom
the bullets i found on a beach in cape cod i think they were from a machine gun they were connected with clasps but fell apart when i pick them up, the beach was used during ww2 for training.

I'm no expert, but I'd say 1920-30's.

Your "bullets" are linked .308 blank training rounds for an M60 Machine gun. They are post Korean war, as linked .308 wasn't used by the US til much later. Most likely 1960s or newer.
