I usually go to this site every day for my detecting fix for a hour or two as it's only 1/2 mile from me. After finding the 1 reale last month I have really slowed down my search method and it is really paying off. There is a lot more to find than I though after going home many times be skunked. The finds now are not jumping out at me like they used to and you really have to work the area slow. I have never found a modern silver coin there, but I have found a Spanish 1 reale and a 1/2 reale.
This site definitely dates from the early 1800's and earlier. All the flat buttons I'm digging are early.
Anyway this is my forth large copper from there and about my thirtieth buttons.
All find were from the last four days a good week except when I found the silver medallion I left right after that. The next day when I went back to do some more hunting I found that my shovel was missing, I must of forgot it there the day before and it was nowhere to be found.
All hunts Nox 800, Field 1 & 2

The signal for this was a barely audible signal and not repeatable but clean. Could not even pinpoint very well. Had to use all metal. I was surprised when this popped out at 11in. It was a 19-21 on the nox 800, field 2
1839 Large Cent

This Silver medallion was not to deep and was a screaming 30-31
It's from Germany and has some nice weight, looks like a anniversary coin medallion from the town of
WEIL IM SCHONBUCH Germany marked 835 on the frame, nice patina on the coin.
