Well I started 2024 off making the mile and a half walk back to the river spot I like going to. A little history about the spot, this spot was a hot spot in the early 1900’s for people having picnics and using the river as a place to swim. The property has been in the same family since the late 1800’s, and the land owner in the early 1900’s would charge people a small fee to use his land for these activities.

The weather was good, cloudy with temps around 39° could be worse for Michigan 😆.

Nice. I am in Michigan too. Is this in Macomb County? I swear I know this spot.

Nice finds!! I love that milk bottle top!

Great hunt. Congrats on the silver. 👍
Silver coins have been eluding me.
I used to buy my beer in Michigan back in the 70’s. Drinking age was 18, and Indiana was 21. Fortunately the state line was on 20 minutes away. 👍🍺
Cheers,
MM

I’m originally from LaPorte. Now in NC, but I still go to LP to see my brother once a year.

Thank you, I’m not going to lie it gave a quarter signal and numbers and when I flipped the plug I thought I had a Standing Liberty 😆 I was taking pictures of it in the plug then I was like wait a minute that’s a token.. 😂

Great finds.
Where those finds very deep?
Thank you, they range from a couple inches down to I’d say no more then 5 inches on average.
