Got back the other day, from a nice sun drenched week abroad. These are the finds from yesterday's hunt. Once again the hammered coins, did not disappoint. Three coins ranging from a nice full flan Edward 1st penny, Canterbury mint, a broken half penny (showing annulets at the neck). Also a very worn probably Elizabethan coin. Artifact wise a lead medieval token, with a flower design. A medieval leather decoration, and lead weight. Robert.

Congrats on some very nice old finds
 

Just back home, grab the detector and get hammereds. That way holidays doesn't sound that bad... :thumbsup:

Thanks for the post. We just don't dig up
"Hammered Coins" here in the States. I wouldn't know who to call first if I ever recovered one of those in The Bronx.
