Detector(s) used
White's DFX 300 Sunray DX-1 probe/ XLT Sunray XL-1 probe
It was that time of year again for a relaxing weekend at Camp Hunt.
A time to meet with other church families from around New York and visit.
And the detectors were not left home :)

Last years sweeps over Camp Hunt yielded some clad,
and about one ring per hunt.

This time I have two detectors and decided to share the fun.
Interested kids were delighted to dig up coins with the XLT and even one
of the parents tried it... he had it for a few hours :o and after he dug a few
wheats, I am afraid he may be hooked, he he ;D
His son was using a bounty hunter detector that they had not had much luck with and I gave them some pointers and let them borrow a pinpointer I was not using.

The finds were not as old as the ones I really like to dig, but the time hunting with friends was the real treasure I found.

excellent finds djabend congrats

Any hunt that produces silver is a good hunt, add friends and then you have a great hunt.
Nice finds. WTG
How do you like my avatar? ;D
Thanks!

Nice finds and I really like the campfire. My old coat still smells like a camp fire when I open the closet. I too, was a bubblehead. 73-79 USS Parche (SSN 683) STS1 (SS/DV). Loved my time in but got out before it got too "military", if you know what I mean. And Findone, I LOVE your avatar... 200 years and never lost a gate :-*. Semper Fi

Great digs >> what is the ornate silver box and is it signed ??

The silver box is plated with a pealing silvered inside. The bottom was iron and has rusted away.
There are no signatures or any writing that I can find. The latch still works. I am concluding it must have been a cheap
display case. It sure is nice to look at though. It was found 4 inches down in the boys area of the camp.
I wonder what story it had to tell ???
