back to school again

yesterday was drizzling a bit but i went out detecting. i went back to the elementary school. people were playing where i had wanted to go so i couldn't detect there... i ended up finding $1.42 in clad, what used to be a pocketknife, lots of foil and junk. the piece of pottery surprised me...

does anybody know what this is?

The old piece of pottery and pocket knife leads me to think that an older structure may have once been on the property before the school ... might be worth looking into ... congratz on your digs and best of luck on your next hunt ~ Jimmy

yea someone told me that there used to be a farm on that property before the school.... havent found any real old coins yet there, but i hope to.
