Hey gang, I just got home after a couple hours out this morning. Had to go early ‘cause it’s been pretty warm lately, so I got there at 7.

Went back to the same area where I found the buff nickel and a couple silver quarters a few days ago. Finding lots of the usual bullet shells, lead and some trash, then spotted what looked like it could be another old sled run.. You can usually spot those ‘cause the slope is fairly steep and smooth, with plenty of space between the big, old trees. Young trees and some brush in the path is what I look for - turns out this definitely was another sled run some time ago.

Found my first Franklin Half Dollar today! Really weird, as I mentioned the other day in a previous post, that I still need to find a Franklin! (Next time out - I need a few indian cents - maybe a Half Eagle gold..). ^_^

Oh - was using a Bandido II μMAX with 5.75 concentric. Thanks, Tesoro!

Well done! I'm going to try your approach... "On my next hunt, I need to find a Victoria 50 Cent piece."

(That's a bucket lister up here in Canada.)

BTW, I just picked up a Bandido II Umax off of eBay. Looking forward to finding out why this machine is held in such high regard!
