Backyard finds

Today I went into my backyard and dug behind a shed. We didn't even have metal detectors. Just a big shovel and a small shovel. My brother found an old door hinge and a nail whil I only a small nail and H.O.I. (hunk of iron). Good 30 minutes though.

Let me tell you. That is a great way to get started in the hobby of uncovering history. Are there plans in the future to get detectors? Or did you just dig for the heck of it today?

Just for the fun of it. Trying to get my younger brother into it. Boy he got excited!
