Went out to yet some more public land with my hunt bud. Very slow diggin, all I got was a 1926 buffalo and a wheatie that someone shot. It was on my bucket list, just not very high up. I also found 2 small caliber bullets near by. July has been a strange month for sure, lots of cool finds and lots of strange finds as well.
Happy hunting!!😬👍🏻

Nice and interesting finds, Joe - congrats to ya mate! :skullflag: :occasion14:

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I used to tape coins to a target and shoot them. Sometimes they flew off the target when you hit them and they were gone. Zing! Maybe you found one of those flyers. Gary

Nice huntin'....it's all good when your having fun. Wtg:thumbsup:

Thats a shame about your Wheat Joe, but that Buffalo looks to be in nice shape.

Congrats. It's funny it took me a couple years to find a buffalo and in the past year or less I've found 8 or 9 of them. They are all wasted. That Ma. soil chomps them up!

I know, I was amazed that this one had a date, all the others I’ve found are schmoked!! I do love my first shot coin though, not sure on how to display it.

Cool finds Joe!

I recall a story from an older friend that grew up in W Va. Easy to judge as long ago when a gent from the
Winchester Rifle Company visited his school and put on a demonstration. For the grand finale he threw
a half inch flat washer up in the air and shot. The washer never deviated so all the kids laughed. He got
a raucous response when he explained that he'd shot through the hole. He had the teacher put a piece
Scotch tape over the hole and did the demonstration over. Same result and the students laughed again
until they saw the tape had hole in it!

Best wishes!

I call that a pretty good day. Keep rippin my friend

Not bad for a guy who lugs around a milk crate while he's digging!

Thank god i retired the crate!! Let me know when you want to get out and swing again, we’ve been hitting some great spots this summer. We can even head down to Connecticut if that helps.

WTG on the Buffalo & shot coin, the Buf looks pretty good, congrats
