Stuck to the same tactic. The heavy rain yesterday made the Barley Stubble a little easier to work but we only gridded for 2 hours 15 minutes:

7 Roman Coins - 2 album examples
Medieval Buckle
bits...

After lunch we continued the field we have been working for 2 hours 45 minutes. The weeds are getting in the way now but we now at least have a name for the Bonus Field - ''Foil Field''.

7 Roman Coins - 1 OK Sest. of Commodus
Lead Token
Roman Leather Mount
Bits...
Hammered Cut Quarter of Henry III

Just about kept our Silver Streak alive.:icon_thumright:

HOLY COW ! ! !

That coin under the cut piece !... that has got to be a banner.

:P

I like how you used a penny for reference... that was nice of you :) heh

I'm fine with your silver streak. It may never end because i like to see silver. :laughing7: The Sestercius of Commodus is killer! :notworthy:

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Outstanding finds !

Your soils are so kind at different times.
Good one on the quarter cut-not an easy recovery if your not on your game.

Nicccce ARC! :laughing7:

Hey, any detecting time you can in the field with your Dad is time well spent Cru!

I hear you about field stubble though. On Sunday I detected a recently harvested wheat field and struggled just to get within 3" of the ground.

We rarely if ever do Wheat Stubble anymore unless its weathered. Barley is softer & the only stubble we bother with.

Great hunt. That sure is a nice variety of finds.
