Can anyone tell me the silver % in this coin? It's slightly smaller than a Canadian silver dollar, which surprises me because I believe it was made at the Canadian mint. I'm thinking it should be 80%, like most Canadian coins.

Thanks russel.

Cool coin! The Bahamians really liked coins of all sizes and denominations. They had them all the way up to a $2500.00 coin! Those were proof only ones but still....that was an expensive coin back in the '70's

That $2500 coin would be cool to have.

It is only .4666 of a troy oz. compared to .6 for the Canadian dollar.

There have only been 516 $2500 coins made (all the designs combined). They all have just over 12 oz. of gold in them.
