Found this little guy. I can't tell if it is real or not but it seems to be. The guys at work pointed out that if it is a toy it is awfully detailed including the cylinder pin ect. Some say an old .22 boot pistol. Real or not, I think it is dang cool anyway :) Feel free to weigh in on your thoughts. Sorry about the lighting. My main light I use is blown and I had to improvise. I took the best pics I could for everyone here. Enjoy!!

Awesome revolver

it looks like an 1875 Robin Hood #2 pocket pistol, .32 cal.robinhood2.webp

Hey Beeps!! Looks as if jewelerguy nailed this one for you!! There is an excellent article in month before last American Rifleman!! Anyway, Cool Find!! GOOD LUCK and GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

Congrats on a Great find! :occasion14:

if the outside of the cylinder is smooth, it could be a Robin Hood #1, .22 cal.

Wow congrats! looks like it would be pretty dangerous not having any trigger guard. You didn't find any bones near by did you :dontknow: :laughing7:

WOW Thank you! So that is what it would have looked like haha. Now I kind of hope that it really is what you said and the real deal :icon_thumright:

no doubt in my mind that it (was) a real gun

would have been single action. trigger would have kicked forward and been exposed when the hammer was pulled back. you would have to pull the hammer back for each shot

Im aware of it being single action but if one was afraid of any confrontation or ambush they would have the hammer back ready to go!

Hey Beeps... I know I've rag on you for your obvious ear problems... but that is a cool find guy. I hope you find out more soon about it. Best of luck... Brad

If the owner was expecting trouble, it would be in his hand, cocked and locked! Great find- Iwould have guessed that it was an early Iver Johnson Owl's Head. Clean it up and go shoot it!

Cider vinager might clean that up, JG nailed it, that's a for real gun. Niceeeeeeeeeeeee
