I was going through some old stuff I had stashed away and didn't know I had. A half dollar size coin.

I have an 1854 listed on Ebay in XF condition. at under $10 there is moderate interest due to lack of awareness these are living a free life as homeless saps with no one to love them

Canada had HUNDREDS of different cents and half cents in circulation before confederation...if you are interested research "bretons"

That's a good example of how large a coin needed to be to contain 1 cent worth of copper back then.
