These tokens are more interesting than they are valuable. The Bank of Upper Canada received the right to issue copper in 1850, after the capital was transferred to Toronto from Montreal. An order was placed at the Royal Mint that same year for halfpennies and pennies. The Province of Canada's agent for the coinage was the British firm of Rowe, Kentish and Co. The obverse image is the popular St. George slaying the dragon motif and the reverse shows the then obsolete arms of Upper Canada. So these were manufactured in Great Britain but circulated in Canada.

These come dated 1850, 1852, 1854 or 1857. They are worth less than $10 each unless they are in high grade.
