Last few hunts I found a few keepers! The 1901 Barber is a little rough but it’s been a while since I found an old coin. I the love the other silver piece. It is stamped sterling on the back and the two stones sure bounce back a lot of light. I know they used glass on old pieces but I don’t know why they would set two broken pieces unless it’s been through a fire. I’m sure hoping they are real! I’ll stop by a jewelry store sometime. Either way it will look very nice on my wife! 4202BEE8-B9D6-4C21-8750-B9040C79A88D.webpCBC87867-C185-4731-98F5-D43E64066BD5.webp91319AE7-A4C5-4A22-B148-D03B4FFC5686.webp

Nice finds DiggingThe1. Thanks for sharing...

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

That silver piece is very interesting ! The circular units look as though they may have been repurposed from another piece to make the brooch . The design work on it looks to be all hand chased .Could you put up a pic of the back with the sterling mark ?

It is an interesting piece. Thanks for the post! I drew some arrows where there must have been an attachment. Any guesses on the date? 5A5C6ECE-3B55-460A-9C56-61DCB3201A27.webp

Congratualtions! :icon_thumleft:

Nice Barber! I like that sterling diamond jewelry thing too. Nice finds! :icon_thumleft:

NIce saves on the treasure! If those are diamonds I've never seen a cut like that...Never know until tested...Keep us informed.

scratch test will tell you really quick.

I think the piece dates 1920's/30's - just a wild guess - I'm interested in this piece - it's unlike any I've seen .

I of course do not know much about gems, but IF the stones are real, COULD they be the real deal uncut? Either way, the "sterling" is a nice prize.

Thanks for the posts, I’ll stop by a place and find out today. They scratch glass but I know quartz usually does also. I think your just about right on the date Argentium! Happy Hunting out there.

Just glass, but they said some in some vintage jewelry they cut the glass that way to reflect the light. I learned something, maybe next time!

Great digs! I haven't unearthed a Barber dime in a while, I'm jealous.
