I was visiting a buddy of mine in Indiana and brought my detector to hit the old farm house one more time and my first target was the 1908 Barber dime. I then found a couple pennies I knew were at least wheats but didn't wanna rub the dirt so I just put them in my pocket. I found the 44' merc a few feet from the barber then a while later the 1889 V Nickel came out of the ground. The V is my oldest Nickel to date. My previous oldest coin before this trip was an 1891 Indian penny. When I went to clean the pennies I showed my wife and said "I see a "64" but it can't be. It must be a 1904". Nope I was wrong it was 1864!! My oldest US coin. So pumped! The wheat was 1941. Thanks for looking.
