Went back to that spot I prospected yesterday and managed to pull out the 1906 full liberty dime. One of the best I've dug to date.
After about an hour, D-Dub and I looked at each other and we both had the same thing in mind....Lets go to the "junkyard!"
Shortly upon our arrival, we start hitting the wheaties....so we know theres silver lurking nearby.
D-Dub gets on the board here first, but I'll let him tell you about that. (Congrats on all those pocket spills)
Then I get a solid 12-46/47 at about 5" next to an old tree. I go to dig, and nothing but roots. Sh*t! I say to myself, so away I go hacking away at the roots only to see something silver out of the hole next to my shovel. I see it's big, and I know it's a quarter. I was expecting a Standing Liberty, but to my surprise its an 1899 worn Barber quarter. I did scratch it a little bit, but it's not my fault. I blame it on the roots. Enjoy and HH!
Also got 4 wheaties and the 1936 Canadian Mapley.
