Detector(s) used
DFX..XLT..6000 Di Pro, V3i, MxSport
Just starting to play with the settings on my Dfx and am starting to find some deeper coins. Was out in an inch of snow detecting today but it was well worth it. These are from an old picnic area where I have already cherrypicked a lot of Seated,Barber and Mercury dimes along with two Barber Halves. These three Barber dimes are 1892,1897 and 1896. The seated dime is 1876. One descent indian head 1901. The rest are indian heads and a V nickel but all are in really rough shape. Im learning more with the Dfx everyday and I know there are more where these came from.

WOW SWEET FINDS ;)

What a site! Keep those reports coming.

Fantastic, I think you got the right settings

So is that what we gotta do? In search of gold, then maybe I'll finally find a seated coin! :D

Congrats!

Lol.. Believe it or not that is actually the seventh seated dime Ive found at this site. Some in better shape others not so good. Im hoping that after reading Digging deeper with the Dfx and starting to adjust the settings I will find a few more.

Nice finds,

I love old groves. I'd dig every hit. You'd be amazed at what the dfx will vdi certain items at. I've found great old rare relics reading a plus 32. Just like a tab.

There is a very slight diff in sound from a tab and actual metal relic. The more you use this unit the more you learn.

Beautiful coins. Even the crusted IH's and V nickel. I'm researching a new detector and your post made the DFX look pretty good.

Two of the dimes read 7 inches the other about 6. Most of the stuff I have found here before has read between 4-5 inches but most of that was found with my Xlt . Cant wait until I can really get a good idea of all the settings the Dfx has to offer.

Man OH Man what great finds! Looks to me like you got your settings perfect.
Why change a good thing...
Way to go!

Very impressive finds congrats. Love those barbers. HH
