My arm hurts, I think I have done 37 hours digging in the last 8 days (& 1 of those was a non-detecting day). :coffee2:

Do you think the hammered are there?

(We had 9 off this field & 1 in the next field)

Even ONE of those would look great in my display case :tongue3:
(maybe I'd even get a bit of hunting latitude from the wife :))

Excellent hunt. . . a lot of time & effort and it shows with your recoveries

All the best to you & Cru-Dad this season.

Thanks, because it hasn't even started yet  This isn't one of the 'sites' we wanted to do. Its been good to me on the Hammered, but I hoping for something Celtic & a nice Roman Silver would not go a miss.
I was also hoping for a shortcross hammered from here, but its not showing, maybe tomorrow which will probably be my last day on this one.

Cru, you are one lucky dog. Good luck to you and yours.

Looks like a good day Cru! :icon_thumleft:

Good to see your building the arm up for the fall season. :icon_thumright:

Awesome finds as usual Cru, really love to read your posts on what you and dad find, but being together is your treasure, but I bet you already know that. I would love to come there some day and treasure hunt, but not likely, health is to bad, but I still try to manage to get out from time to time. To hot right now, been in the high 90's and 100's for a week now. Breathing to hard right now. Anyway, good luck to you and dad and keep it coming. Ken

I do not understand is the motives of the many buttons on your hunting area, there was some factory nearby?,, Some clothing shop? ... I do not understand is not normal ,find 3.000 in one year . :dontknow:
Greetings!

No factory or shop nearby, even the nearest Villiage was 1/2 mile away. This area is farming land & always has been for nearly 2000 years. Most of the stuff including buttons was dumped there to make the clay a lighter soil. Of course some buttons were lost on the way to the nearby Fair or whilst working the fields.

Hi guys :hello: Great looking finds as usual; love the old keys and the Jesus idol.

Cru, you must put 'disclaimer' on every post. One of our guys is already on the sleeping pills
The buckles are really beautiful. What material are they? Look like bronze to me.
