I went back to the old doctor's place where the bottles have continued to elude me. Just before leaving today, using my probe i felt some abrasive areas about 6-10 inches underground. Found these 2 pcs of interesting glass and was wondering if anyone recognizes what they are. The milk white piece is interesting and the clear piece of glass seams to have a hallmark of some sort. I will definitely be returning tomorrow with shovel in hand to excavate this area. Thanks for any input

Hey BA,

Open pontiled milk glass + doctor = Today's Big Crier!

I'm seeing that next one as a number 4 on an aqua fruit jar base. Have I got my eyeglasses on backwards again?

Do not allow this buried glass to elude you.

Well my suspicion was correct. When i first saw the milk glass i was thinking it was open pontil. I just needed some reassurance. I've been wasting my time looking in the ravines on the far side of the property. I went to the other side of the property next to the open water well and probed around until i started hitting pcs of glass. I don't know if there will be any whole pcs to be found but if there are, there could be some really nice ones. Hoping to go back tomorrow or this weekend. Will take more pictures. Thanks for the input Surf

Yes it is a number 4 on the aqua glass. Sometimes ole bass assassin doesn't take his readers with him and he unknowingly takes pictures of numbers or hallmarks "upside down".
