I was in Nashville Tn last week for my daughters wedding and we took a day and visited Franklin. Hit up a store where I purchased a confederate 10 dollar bill and 2 buttons, a Cavalry Eagle button dug in 90’s in Franklin and a general service button.
After I got back to Maryland I was researching the Battle of Franklin and came across dixiedetectors who had this commemorative buckle for sale. The buckle has confederate sabot detected by L David Keith incorporated into the buckle. A very cool 125 year anniversary buckle made in 1989 with limited quantity of 260.
Hard to believe he still has some 34 years later. An awesome buckle for any Civil War collector.
