Bayonet Frog from the Siege of Savannah

I dug this British bayonet frog at a site in Savannah GA that was part of the battleground from the “Siege of Savannah” during the Revolutionary War (a part of downtown Savannah). This piece is brass and hand filed. I am glad that I was able to save this cool piece of American history. The video of this hunt will be uploaded on YouTube in the coming months.

It would have been from something like this. It attached to the bayonet scabbard.

That is a sweet dig.. I found this one at a colonial site back in Dec. Southeastern NC.
