Nice mod - it's nice to see what's going on.
A friend of mine was telling me about a pan that that has a nugget trap with a clear bottom so you can hold it up and see the gold.
Never seen one though.

I bought an unused "miner" from a guy last summer and never got it in the water but hope to this year. I will definitely keep your mod in mind. I love the principle.
 

How did you cut the hole, if you don’t mind me asking. I think that’s a great idea!
 

Drill 4 holes and used my fen multi master
 

I may have to do this as well. I have a grizzly and the glue is failing on the tubes. Open it up, re-glue and add your mod.
 

Nice mod. That is the way I did my DIY gold trap.
