I have heard the expression sanded in used on the forum. Not sure exactly what people mean by this but I am getting an idea.

We got some pretty ruff surf last week I assume from the storm that passed well south of Florida. The usual fluffy white sand beaches in my area have been changed to hard wet packed sand. A lot of negative factors seem to be leading to slim pickings for us dry and only guys. It has been difficult even to come up with a decent clad count the past few weeks.

Its hot; even hot enough to keep people off the beach
Its off season; low amount of tourist types
Its Sunday and I should be out on the beach for a few hours. I am not. Maybe a PM hunt later in hopes of finding a recent drop.

yea with alll the kids back in school not as much traffic at the beach during the week, I was at the beach sat. the crowds were less than 1/2 as to what I was seeing just 3 weeks ago.wet hard pack sand doesnt hide a drop, so anybody walking by can find it, that sugar sand is needed to get the finds on the beach.
