Beach Find

Any ideas what this may be? It's made of brass and has some designs on it that resemble an eagles beak. Found it in the sand 2' under water.



Looks like a piece of a ships bell.

A ship's bell would be cast brass of 3/8" to 3/4" thick or more depending on size. How big is your piece?

Piece is 6" x 4" and 3/16 thick
