Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone is like me and, when not swinging a detector, is staring at the sand collecting beach/sea glass? Here's a pic of my finds from today. Hit a new spot and struck the jackpot on green glass, even got a piece of pottery!

Nice color. Cool for making Mosaics. Jgas.

I do pick it up, especially if there are no jagged edges.

my mom wants to do a big project with them

Right now, all of our glass is just separate d into jars by main color. We use old medicine jars and have them displayed in the entryway. I'm not talented enough to make jewelry out of them. Lol

i pass that stuff up now unless it is unusual....purples and deep aquas

I have seen where one person drills holes in the sea glass and strings the pieces vertically from a piece of driftwood sort of like wind chimes.

I used to collect Beach Glass in Milwaukee and Chicago and had a ton of it. I sorted out what I really loved and ended up selling the rest to someone doing a craft project. I miss it, but still end up finding some beach glass earrings here and there. Keep it up!

My wife is a beach-glass freak .:BangHead:

We have one of the most heavily glassed beaches on the west coast a half hour from the house. Used to be an old quarantine area for ships coming into Puget Sound, so they would just throw all their bottles overboard while waiting to clear. You can sit in one spot for an hour without running out of glass to pick up.

Cool find. My wife and I went snorkeling in Boanire last year and in one spot next to the shore I picked up all I'll ever need to drag home. Lol.
